SpinStream Copyright & Takedown Policy

Effective Date: [Month Day, Year]

Last Updated: June 18, 2026

SpinStream respects intellectual property rights. This policy explains how copyright-related concerns, rights disputes, and takedown requests may be handled.

SpinStream is not a copyright office, does not register copyrights, does not determine ownership, and does not provide legal advice.

1. User Responsibility

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the rights, licenses, permissions, or authority needed to upload, submit, preserve, display, publish, or reference materials through SpinStream, including songs, recordings, beats, instrumentals, samples, loops, stems, artwork, lyrics, video, photographs, names, logos, collaborator materials, cover songs, remixes, remakes, and licensed materials.

2. No Ownership Verification

SpinStream does not independently verify ownership, authorship, clearance, chain-of-title, copyright registration status, sample clearance, cover-song licensing, publishing splits, master ownership, or contributor rights. A SpinStream record is not a legal determination of ownership.

3. Covers, Samples, Remixes, Remakes, and Licensed Materials

If your work includes third-party material, you are responsible for obtaining necessary rights, licenses, permissions, or clearances. A SpinStream record does not grant permission to use third-party material and does not cure unauthorized use.

4. Takedown Requests

If you believe material on SpinStream infringes your copyright or violates your rights, you may send a notice to: [copyright@spinstream.xyz]

Please include your full name, organization if applicable, email address, identification of the copyrighted work or rights at issue, the SpinStream URL or record, a description of the alleged infringement, good-faith and accuracy statements, confirmation that you are the rights owner or authorized representative, and your physical or electronic signature.

5. Response to Notices

SpinStream may remove content, hide content, restrict access, disable public display, preserve internal records, contact the submitting user, request more information, or decline to act if a request is incomplete, unsupported, abusive, or not legally sufficient.

6. Counter-Notices

If your content was removed or restricted and you believe this was a mistake, contact [copyright@spinstream.xyz] with your name, email address, affected SpinStream URL or record, explanation, and relevant rights, license, permission, or ownership documentation. SpinStream may review counter-notices but does not guarantee restoration.

7. Repeat Infringers and Abuse

SpinStream may restrict or block users who repeatedly submit infringing, unauthorized, fraudulent, misleading, or abusive records. SpinStream may also reject abusive, fraudulent, bad-faith, or harassing takedown requests.

8. Public and Blockchain References

SpinStream may be able to remove, hide, or restrict hosted content or public display pages. However, blockchain records, third-party copies, caches, public references, indexes, or external records may not be removable by SpinStream.

9. DMCA Designated Agent Placeholder

If SpinStream qualifies as an online service provider and seeks DMCA safe-harbor treatment, SpinStream may need to register a designated DMCA agent with the U.S. Copyright Office and publish that agent’s contact information.
